Previous Story: Earth Day April 22nd

Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22nd. Since it’s beginning as a proposed holiday in 1969, Earth Day has grown to become a global event recognized by over 190 countries. Recognizing Earth Day is a great opportunity to grow consciousness of our place as human beings on the earth that we all share, and to dedicate time and energy to protect and restore the earth that we all share. Regardless of one’s personal perspectives or interests, there is a way to recognize and celebrate Earth Day and to make a positive difference in ensuring that the Earth will be healthy for the current generation, and for all future generations to come. One could plant a tree, make a meal with organic local foods, educate friends or family, clean up trash in your community, or conserve energy, the possibilities are endless….

Today let us remember, we do not inherit the earth from the generations of the past, we borrow it from the generations of the future.
