Growing from the momentum of last year’s peace walk event, the Branch of Peace Foundation is proud to announce the sponsoring of its 2nd annual peace walk in Charleston, South Carolina.

This year’s event seeks to engage the people of South Carolina and beyond to raise awareness and support for peace-building initiatives, and celebrate the beauty of harmony through “exercising” the values of peace and environmental sustainability.

The 2016 Peace Walk will be held at beautiful James Island County Park at 2:30 p.m. on September 18th, and take place in partnership with Charleston County Parks and Recreation as part of this year’s “Living Green Festival”!

The Festival and walk, will bring together individuals, families, and organizations of all backgrounds, and feature fun and educational demonstrations, interactive play, music, food, vendors and more!

The Festival & peace walk event are a great opportunity to contribute to the growth of peace in Charleston S.C. and beyond, and grow support for peace-building initiatives in South Carolina, which  ranks #1 in violent crime per capita among all States*.

If you, your organization, or business can not make it to Charleston on September 18th, you are invited to join us virtually in your own town to walk 1 mile for peace as part of the event! Additionally, anyone can sponsor a walker, and/or make a donation to contribute to the 2016 Walk for Peace.

All are invited to be a part of this tremendous opportunity to “be the change” for greater peace in South Carolina and beyond, and make a difference in moving our world toward a more peaceful and sustainable future today, and for future generations tomorrow!

To sign up for the walk, support a walker, donate to the event, or sponsor the event click on the “Walk For Peace 2016” tab for more information.

Make a difference and grow peace today!
